One of my rear tires on my 2004 civic has diagonal tire wear. i took it in for a new tire and they told me my struts were bad and they need them to be replaced. my questions are these?
1. can just 1 be replaced or do i have to replace them all
2. i am very good with my hands- can it be done in the driveway
3. is there anything else that can cause this wear..its only one rear tire. the other tire in the rear is new from a year ago. the car doesnt have any drift so im pretty sure the alignment it good.
I replaced the tire and told them im gonna get a second opinion. Ill get them changed if i have to but i would rather know if can monitor it now that i know they are new balanced tires on there or if there is a way i can check to see if the struts are bad.750 bucks would suck to have to spend if i can avoid it. thanks to all
I am seriously considering purchasing a car from a private seller located three hours from my home- but am unsure about if it s really a good deal. It s a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS- and the listing claims the car has one rear strut broken and the valve cover gasket leaks a little. My question is whether or not this car is easilt repaired- and most importantly- would I be able to drive it as is for three hours?
I have a Toyota Corolla i think its a 92- I m trying to save money by not going to the shop- i was just wondering if anyone knew how hard it would be or if there is a how to site anyone knows of.
I m trying to find out where I can get detailed GM vehicle dimensions for an outrageous motor swap for my Chevy Beretta. I m looking for things such as strut tower measurements- vehicle widths- lengths- engine cradle dimensions- what will interchange and what won t. I ve searched the internet for quite some time now trying to find what I need but everything I type in to look for either comes up as vehicles for sale or basic dimensions that I already know. Is there anywhere that I would be able to find the information out that I need? If there is I would love to hear it- it would save me alot of time and headaches tryin to get this info. Or would I have to go to a GM dealer in order to get the information that I require. No sarcastic or inappropriate answers- I don t have the patience or time to deal with your nonsense and you will be reported. For those of you that can help me- please do so. I would very greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Yeah repair manuals are nice for that info but I need to cross reference about 4-5 different cars so a site thats got them or maybe just info sheets on the cars would be perfect. Something to where I don t have to spend countless hours flipping between books to find what I need. Thank you for answering.
I am considering the Dinan engine upgrade along with the cold air intake and exhaust. The spec boast an 11 HP increase as well as some torque increase. Does anyone have any experience with this and how did the car respond. I wouls also consider the stage 2 which includes the strut brace and the tranny reprogram.
The E>A>T is Not available for the e46. The Dinan chip is available for $249 plus 10% off making it cheaper anyway. The waranty is also better. My real concern is regarding the actual performance of the chip!
Dinan actually removes the top speed governor and raises the rev limit around 350 RPMs
