The theme of my topic is " how to survive 8th grade. " I ll be addresing 6th- 7th- 8th graders- as well as teachers and staff. I need some "advice to give to the upcoming 7th graders. I asked my friends and they tell me not to use the "top dog" line :

Next year you re gonna be the top dogs- strutting around campus with your chest out and smug looks on your face.

I could also use a metaphor in my speech but I hav no ideas.
If you could give me a way to structure my speech- that would be great.

This is an easy one....

"Out- out- brief candle! Life s but a walking shadow-
a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage-
and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot-
full of sound and fury- signifying nothing."

..strutting blue and yellow with pride...??
