my struts on my olds cutless supreme needs replaced is that really that important to do. i mean what can happen if they arent changed. they have needed changed for over a year now

I am buying a car and want to know if its worth it- i am willing to fix it-

Its a 1995 eclipse- with 104k- it runs- perfect body- lowered- angel eyes- etc... it needs 2 new struts- 1 upper arm- new ball joints for the front- and thats it- im buying it for 1300- it has new tires and brakes

I talked them down to 1300- do you think its worth fixing? How much do you think this will cost if i go to an average shop? What is i just bought the parts and had a family member do it for free- (he owns his own shop)- how much will each cost?

Its already been looked at by a mechanic and so i know thats all it needs

Its KBB worth is 3180 in fair condition and 4000 in execelent
Im buying it tomorrow- so i need to know befor i do it

I found out today that my strut bearings need lubed..about how much should this cost? is this a serious matter? Is my car still safe to drive on the highway if they need lubed or is it going to cause something to fall off? I drive a 96 grand am
