I drive a 98 Cavalier.When parked my right wheel looks as if its "coming away" from the car.While driving The wheel shakes and feels like it will roll off the car.My friend said that I may need a control arm.I KNOW that I need an alignment and struts...My question is could the "wheel coming away" appearance be coming from the need of struts and alignment.I am a woman and I have a hard time finding good honest help-so any knowledge would be helpful.

i have a 98 pontaic sunfire this thing i have fixed it up there SHOULD be nothing wrong with this car. the only thing i can think that is wrong is the transmission and i hope to god its not the transmission and when it hesitates it makes a real loud sound i have a system in this car and i can hear it over the subs it sounds like its struggling but i have replace the exaust system the starting and charging system the whole engine has been rebuilt fuel system is new suspention (except for the rear struts) is new Brake system is new the cooling and ac system is newand i just dont know of anything else it could be plz help im desperate (if i think of anything else i will post it to).

I posted in here a little while ago about my 2000 Grand Am bottoming out (LOUD knocking sound heard/felt) over bumps. Most said it was probably struts- and GM confirmed this after a road test..so they replaced both rear struts. But It s STILL bottoming out! What s even more strange is that when I take the car out of reverse or park- put it in drive and go- it feels like the wheels are rubbing against something..and there s a bit of a "thump" then there s a loud squeaky noise from the brakes for a few seconds.
My question is..what else is causing the bottoming out??? I just spent $600 with labour to replace the rear struts It s scary to the point where I don t want to drive the car anymore because the sound is so loud/distracting that my nerves are literally shot. Anyone know?

Anyways I figured out the answer for the problem myself a couple of days ago..its actually quite easy- I was using the wrong angle you see. Nevertheless- you were the only person that answered so i lle give you best answer

I posted in here a little while ago about my 2000 Grand Am bottoming out (LOUD knocking sound heard/felt) over bumps. Most said it was probably struts- and GM confirmed this after a road test..so they replaced both rear struts. But It s STILL bottoming out! What s even more strange is that when I take the car out of reverse or park- put it in drive and go- it feels like the wheels are rubbing against something..and there s a bit of a "thump" then there s a loud squeaky noise from the brakes for a few seconds.
My question is..what else is causing the bottoming out??? I just spent $600 with labour to replace the rear struts It s scary to the point where I don t want to drive the car anymore because the sound is so loud/distracting that my nerves are literally shot. Anyone know?

I called around to get estimates from mom & pop shops to compare pricing- however- they are encouraging me to replace my struts also. Is this a good idea? Also what is the standard labor costs and pricing to replace struts & strut mounts?

I truely think this woman is ugly and she s a pychopath actually she s my mother-in-law but she tries to strut around me and act like I ve got something to be jealous about. She kind of acts like she desperatly wants or needs me to be jealous of her and envy her so I wonder if she is just really insecure. It s weird and it drives me crazy because I think nothing good about her- she is ugly inside and out- think crazy with buggly eyes. And she s that type of person that needs money in her life- if you know what I mean. Meeting her has really made me think God my mother was so generous and nice but this women walks around like she is better and tries to make me envious and I m just grossed out by her I hate everything she did to my husband when he was a child. She was a horrible mother- did alot of crazy things and I wonder if money is like her cover you know. Anyways her acting like this just makes me want to put her in check and tell her the truth about herself. How should I act or do

Thanks everyone- I have already made the decision to keep my distance as much as needed. I m just scared that I m going to leave my husband because of this. And yes he is an only child of a single mom- she def has mommy syndrom. I will just continue to ingnore it and stand my ground.

I am going to have a pair of good popular brand lowering springs and front camber arms installed on my 99 Civic in a few days. But im not going to replace the shocks/struts- they are going to remain the stock ones.

Ive heard that if u put in lowering springs and new camber kit WITHOUT new performance struts that the ride will be terrible- is this true? My friend has had JUST lowering springs without even new camber kit on his sentra for 4 years and hes never had a problem with the stock struts...

1998 Toyota Camry LE V6 Engine. The dealer mentioned I needed both my front and rear strut mounts replaced. I called around to get estimates from mom & pop shops to compare pricing- however- they are encouraging me to replace my struts also. Is this a good idea? Also what is the standard labor costs and pricing to replace struts & strut mounts?

How long would it take an average person with decent mechanical skills to replace 2 struts in front and 2 shocks in rear??

I truely think this woman is ugly and she s a pychopath actually she s my mother-in-law but she tries to strut around me and act like I ve got something to be jealous about. She kind of acts like she desperatly wants or needs me to be jealous of her and envy her so I wonder if she is just really insecure. Friend told me they paid $40 for blood so I put my last $5 for gas in my car- looked up the blood place in the phone book and drove downtown. I found the Red cross- strutted in- filled out some forms and a big lady plopped me into a lawn chair and drained a bag of blood. When I asked for my $40 they all laughed -- found out the hard way Red Cross doesn t BUY blood -- so I drove a few blocks over to the blood bank- lied on my form and they drained another bag outta me. That was a long and dizzy drive back to my house that day. One beer and I passed out on my sofa for ten hours. Anything like that ever happen to anyone else- ever?

I have 2" lowering springs that I want to install on my 02 Mustang GT. I also have new Tokico D Spec struts and shocks and caster / camber plates that I will install at the same time. My question is will I need to also install a bumpsteer kit in addition to the caster / camber plates? Thanks!

... cause you were too broke to buy cigarettes? I did it once in Florida. Friend told me they paid $40 for blood so I put my last $5 for gas in my car- looked up the blood place in the phone book and drove downtown. I found the Red cross- strutted in- filled out some forms and a big lady plopped me into a lawn chair and drained a bag of blood. When I asked for my $40 they all laughed -- found out the hard way Red Cross doesn t BUY blood -- so I drove a few blocks over to the blood bank- lied on my form and they drained another bag outta me. That was a long and dizzy drive back to my house that day. One beer and I passed out on my sofa for ten hours. Anything like that ever happen to anyone else- ever?

My right side is now making the clanking noises after days when i go over medium bumps?? Could it be a bad part - installation???

i have 3 different numbers on the front struts and wanted to know the correct settings... i have both of them on 3 now

my stepdad has been clingy lately. hour long 4 wheeling- trips to the grociers just me n him stuff. i did that with my real dad a lot but things have been getting creepy. he s started slapping my butt everytime i walk by. he asks for hugs and brushes against my boobs when i walk by him. he struts around the house with barely anything on and this past weekend hes tried to hold my hand twice- fingers laced. Hes written me rude notes and he sneaks into my room at night but i dont know what he does. i want out of my house but if i tell my mom she ll take his side and i have to stay here. What do i do. im 17 and cant deal with another year of this.

1995 ford taurus...i know i need to change my passenger side front strut....had an oil change a few days ago...yet still i get this happening....off of highway and oil light blinks as as i slow down to 5mph and stop.....then when i am parking as i turn wheels oil light turns red...what could this be? after it cools down its good as new
